    3. I just have to tell everyone that I heard David McCollough speak at a nearby university a few years ago. He talked so much about Washington, that I wrote him a letter telling him about a little, somewhat unknown book, written about the upbringing of Washington and what went into the making of his character. I thought it would interest him. He wrote me a thankyou note on vellum paper, with a fountain pen, signed by himself, and it had a lovely embossed address at the top. I thought that was so wonderful. I told him the man who wrote the book, "The Making of George Washington," wrote it "because the world needs Washington again." David said that he has spent so much time researching these men that he feels like he is from that century. We need more men like David McCollugh and George Washington. Our young people need to know, and we need to know what went into the development of such a great man like Washington- the little book is available on the net from Patriotic Education Inc, and was my first introduction to a man who was declared to be the best man produced in a 1000 year period of history.
