Hi All, I clicked into the free 1880 census index. http://content.ancestry.com/iexec/?htx=List&dbid=6742&offerid=0%3a679%3a0 When I clicked on the census, they asked if I want Ancestry free for 3 days - the best part was "No Credit Card Needed". So I said yes & put in my old user name & etc. You can make a new one if you are new to Ancestry. WA-LA I have full Ancestry free for 3 days now.. Try it (you'll like it - ha) June :-)

Hi June, I went to the link, but I don't understand where you mean "when I clicked on the census." I'm not clear where that is on the page? I tried doing a search on a name to see if it came up, but I did not get a screen asking if I wanted to try it free for 3 days. Can you help me, please? Thank you June for the link below - have had a fun few days!! Donna, I did not get a "try it free for 3 days". I put in a name, birth date, and SEARCH. The next page gave no indication about free days, so I just selected a hit, selected View Image, and up came the original census page. I have used www.ancestry.co.uk before and my computer has "remember my password" for this. Also, when I access the ancestry pages, my user name always appears, so I assume all that had something to do with my access. Have you used Ancestry before? So, go to the link again, put in a name, birthdate if possible, select SEARCH, click on one of the entries, click on View Image, and see what happens!!
