June, Thank you so much for writing such detailed instructions. I am collecting information about the Gardenier surname (of about 50 different spellings) from anywhere in New York State. So far, I have found about a dozen certificates of interest to me on the Italian site. The help is much appreciated. Cliff, Never thought to look for the Gordineers on there, the NYS archives info I looked for is from my mother's German side and have found dome info there and some on CW soldiers and sailors site and the Morman site. Now I have to start sending for things. Cliff, My father grew up with Gordineers in Ossining in the early 1900s. They were of Dutch descent.
