Folks I have several generations of my maternal family in Westchester County First my maternal Grandmother: Winifred Marie Smith youngest of 4 children born to Samuel Fair Smith and Cynthia Ann Wood March 17, 1893 in Mount Vernon was Sexually assaulted by a family friend and impregnated late November 1926. Grandma (Nana) carried the pregnancy to term and her daughter was born at Lying Inn New York City. Samuel Fair died of Tuberculosis on 4 February 1920 and is buried at St. Paul's Episcopal Church yard in an unmarked grave. Cynthia Ann followed her daughter Winfred who followed her daughter Winifred Jane to Oregon where she married into the Frommherz family of Benton County Oregon. Cynthia died in June 1949 and is buried in the Dallas City Cemetery a bronze plaque marks the grave near the grave of Winifred who died in 1989. Winfred's siblings: David Lewis Smith born 1886 vanished without a trace before 1920 resurfaced to apply for a Social Security number in 1943 Baltimore and never paid into the account Social Security does not have a date of death or marriage. Elsie (AKA Queenie) Smith born 9 August 1887 – Christened ? – Died 14 July 1980 in Texas married Charles Junius Bard Born 19 May 1889 – Christened ? – Died 30 March 1970 3 children born to this couple Margaret Smith born 1889 according to the list of Survivors in an obituary printed in Oregon 1949 this sibling was married to H.L. Perrine and resided in Carmel or Thornwood Westchester County, New York. Second my maternal Grandfather: Myron Horton Lounsbury 1886 traces to the Lounsbury's of Rye, Westchester County Loyalist's for the King during the Revolution. Other surnames in Westchester County WOOD, ANDREW DOB 1805 married JULIA ANN (nee ?) DOB 1819 married by 1837 Mount Pleasant and Sleepy Hollow by 1850 census reveals parents born in New York. Young, Margaret born Ireland probably Northern part daughter of Margaret (Fair) Young was a widow when located buried St. Paul's Churchyard Mount Vernon married David I. Smith also buried St. Paul's Stone photo in Find A Grave. Wood, James Andrew born 1837 Mount Pleasant, Westchester County, resided NYC until about 1870 removed to Mount Vernon employed by the Hartford NYC railroad as the Expressman manager at Mount Vernon. Married Ann Marie Luke Lewis 1862 NYC buried the Lewis Family Plot Greenwood Union Cemetery Rye, Westchester County, NY. Lewis, John William Jr. born Carmarthenshire South Wales 1813 as a child came to America married Cynthia Ann Luke born 1807 Leaksville, Shenandoah County (now Page County after 1830) in Connecticut.
