Hui Susan, Have you contacted the Town of Somers. Building Department at> http://www.somersny.com/Pages/SomersNY_Building/index Barb -----Original Message----- From: Susan Roylance >susanroylance@gmail.com I plan to be in New York, and visit the Westchester County Archives, on November 18th. I am trying to find the source of property that Henry and Cornelia Stogdill sold in Somers, New York, about 1825. I have the record of them selling the property, but I do not know how they obtained it. It isn't in the grantor or grantee books. I'm guessing it might have been from a probate, but I don't have any further information. Cornelia's maiden name, or a previously married name, was Cornelia Ingersoll. I do know that a Josiah Ingersoll farmed land in the same area -- I think it was part of the Beekman Patent. I suppose he could be her grandfather, but I have no concrete information to support that idea. I'm looking for someone I could pay to help me with this property research on November 18th. Could you recommend someone? Thank you, Susan Roylance
