    3. Thanks Barb, I appreciate the kind words, I spent Tuesday at a new gathering of writers hoping to get published some day. One of my most precious memories is my 1967 - 1969 assignment to Vietnam. The book that I am writing deals with how I became the man that I am as a Boomer of boomer parents. I was in country when my lover another gay soldier and I were reminiscing on July 4 of that year Stonewall and the queer riots of 28 June. We wondered what our country would be like when we got back. The book is titled "Vine Ripened Tomatoes Turtle on a snare drum. Written in first person conversations that attempts to paint an honest picture of life as we knew it. Daniel PS when and if you have a chance I need to figure out how to identify my grandma's best friend who lived on Manhattan Island in NYC in 1976 - 1977 the year was when the city was planning to close Radio City. If I can get my mom to turn over grandnana's address book I might find it there but I am being shunned till I agree to go back in the closet. I never knew what a closet was but mom sure knows and thinks that as loud as she screams "YOU DAMNED SINNER" protects her about as well as Kim Davis in Kentucky is doing these days. She is Roman you know. I have photos that I took for a day we spent together and she told me things that I never suspected of my maternal grandnana's family.
