3. There are actually several branches of the Outhouse family. The Robert and Sarah Outhouse branch is the largest and is primarily located in Nova Scotia. They have annual, well-attended reunions in Tiverton. I attended last years and had THE BEST time! Wonderful people up there. I belong to the William Outhouse of Westchester branch. His descendants settled in the Midwest, although some also stayed in NY. We all descend from Claus Simonse Van Uythuysen (b. 1661). The Outhouse Family Historical Society, of which I am a member, has reunions every two years in various parts of the country. I believe the next one will be Westchester County next year. If you would like to see the earliest generations of the Outhouse Family in America, check out my Website -- www.bliss-gonzalez.com. Scroll down and click on Surnames to get to the Outhouse pages. 1. [NYWESTCH] Hickeys in Verplanck, Montrose, Peekskill, NY
    2. Is anyone researching Hickeys in Verplanck, Montrose or Peekskill? My mother's cousin who is 85 said we are related to James Hickey who married Peekskill's Rosie the Riveter, Rose Bonavita. Betty remembers running into Jimmy and his brother John many years ago who said they were cousins. My mother's great grandmother was Mary Hickey who married Patrick Coffey. Any input from Hickey researchers would be appreciated. Judy Wolf

**************************************
Check out free AOL at http://free.aol.com/thenewaol/index.adp. 3. No, Jean, unfortunately I don't have your Esther. My 7th g-grandfather, Matthew Smith, was living with Thomas Palmer in Eastchester when Thomas drowned at Hellgate when his boat swamped. Matthew was with him and survived. I speculate that Matthew was about 16 yrs old at the time. I know that Thomas Palmer was the son of Wm (Palmer) of Wethersfield CT who removed with his family to Eastchester some years before . I'm trying to find out if Matthew Smith was related to the Palmers or maybe an apprentice and how he got to Eastchester and from where. Thomas was only 29 yrs old when he drowned so I suspect that he took Matthew in when Wm Palmer died.....can't be sure though....and have no idea where Matthew went after Thomas died. He shows up next in my records as witnessing a will in Eastchester for a man named Gee in 1716. 2. Hello, Maureen, My GG grandmother was Esther PALMER. She was born in 1782 (unknown location) and died in Richfield Springs, Otsego Co. N.Y. in 1828. She was married to Joseph LAYTON, b. 1774 in N.J. and died 1859 in Richfield Springs, N.Y. They had five children. They are both buried in Richfield Springs. 1. [NYWESTCH] EBay's Westchester CD's (another choice)
    2. Jean Ann Lupinetti
    3. Hi again, Looks like my email opened a Pandora's Box! Let me explain a little about Ebay. This CD is for sale by the seller for $29.95. You can buy it on the spot for that amount and don't have to bid. Often the seller will put the same item up for bid with a lower starting price. People bid on the lower priced item hoping to get it for less than the regular price. Sometimes they bid more than the cost of the item because they get "carried away". When everyone (on the list) it bidding on the same item, the price goes up as everyone is bidding on one CD. I bought this CD a few weeks ago for $10.99 because this list didn't know about it and nobody bid against me. It was a good idea to ask the seller for a lower price but usually they don't do this. The seller will most likely continue to offer one CD every week with the starting price of $9.99 or $10.99 so if everyone is patient the can wait it out and probably can get the CD for less than the $29.95 price. Please note there are several Westchester CD's on Ebay (many almost the same as the one I mentioned above.) They sell for less. Go to Ebay and type in Westchester genealogy and you will find more. This CD is similar Genealogy and History of WESTCHESTER County New York and you can Buy it Now for $17.50 or less. This seller lets you "make an offer" which means if you offer him $15.00 he might sell it to you for that price. You can put this search number in Ebay and find it right away 230075093756 This seller has 12 to sell at this price. Note: If you have never used Ebay you don't know what you are missing! Just put in a town or a surname and you'd be amazed at what you can find! Again, I'm just passing along information. I have no connection to any of the sellers on Ebay. I just buy items for myself or the historical societies (at their request). Jean Ann

Ed, Some of the Palmers were in Westchester in the mid-1600s.....Wm of Wethersfield CT......also my 7th g-grandfather Mattlhew Smith testified at a Coroner's inquest in 1681 in the death of Thomas Palmer. The Drakes, Sherwoods, and Wards came to the MA colony first then migrated to Westchester in early 1700s.....but you may already know all this. John Archer was very early too.....not one of my lines.
