Then, add it to their church bulletin and search names of folks who lived in Mt Vernon circa 1890-1900. In addition, they should post emails to all of metro NYC county mailing lists, stating their objective. Hi, I just rejoined this list after many years and am disappointed that all the posts seem to be gatewayed from the bulletin board. Is there no more excited chat among mailing list subscribers? I have been working on my Bedford roots for 30 years, own the Knowlton histories and all the Bedford Historical Society publications done for the bicentennial, and have made trips to the township (the most recent last month) and other major repositories. Am related to most of the people living on Guard Hill Road in the 19th century and before. Am still working on my database. I suppose my most wanted item is the wife of Robert Knowlton (ca. 1704-1798) who lived his whole life in Bedford and was the father of Ephraim (ca. 1740-1784), Charity (m Foster), and Elizabeth (m Woolsey). Happy to hear from anyone else connected--too many surnames to list. Elizabeth W. Knowlton http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=winspeare
