Yes, I got his Christmas letter too. Glad to hear you found him earlier. If it wasn't for Bill and Bob Protzman I would never have found my Brouwer line just a decade ago. Certainly these Westchester Boutons are descended from John Bouton of Boston and then of Hartford and then his family of Norwalk/Stamford/Ridgefield/Wilton and Danbury. In Danbury the name was spelled "Boughton". Because one of Wilton/Ridgefield/Stamford married a member of my Carley family and went to NY, I am curious to see the connections and email with someone who follows the genealogy of this large family. I also realize that many families of these Connecticut towns moved into Westchester! Jan: " From reading the bios on Capt Abraham Hatfield, I'm of the opinion it would have been Grace Church, in White Plains for I believe it said he was once a vestryman of the church. After the Rev. War ended, the Anglican churches broke affiliation with England and were called Episcopal. I'm not shore if the parish name would change, though. I have Hatfield ancestors who died in NY City environs and can't be found in early NY burial sites." Can anyone who lives in White Plains tell us if "Grace Church" still exists or if these grave were moved? Does it show on any old or new maps? Thanks, Carol L. Hi Dianne, I'm so sorry for not mentioning that I do have Ancestry and thus have this info. Its just that I am stuck on the maiden names for the wives of John Simon Williams and Arnold Louis Kuhnast. I have tried the grooms' index before but perhaps they have added more names. I'll try again. Thanks for the suggestion. I was wondering if the CD mentioned had more complete records than what I've been able to find online. I appreciate your time and effort. Bob,Thank you. Melba Bouton was the daughter of Manley Wagner Bennett who was the son of Rosetta Rutherford and James Bennett. Rutherford is my direct line and Melba was the granddaughter of Rosetta. I also have another Bouton connected to Jacob Price. I have no dates or locations for Betsey (Nellie) Bouton m to Jacob Price. I took another look in my files and found Sanford Bouton m to Anna Price the sister of Jacob. This line must also be in NY but not in Westchester County.
