    1. [NYWESTCH] DICKSON - SIPPERLY Family Photograph
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as Anna DICKSON which was taken in May 1886 at the T. E. Bristol Studio in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania. Anna appears to be in her teens or 20's at the time the photograph was taken. I am hoping to locate someone from Anna's family so that the photograph can be returned to the care of her family. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Anna and her family: Anna Clarissa DICKSON was b. 27 Mar 1867 in Wellsboro, PA to parents William Henry DICKSON (b. 1 Aug 1827 in Ripley, NY) and Sarah Azubah LOMBARD (b. 24 Apr 1838 in Ripley, NY). Anna married Frank Seymour SIPPERLY (b. 24 Feb 1867 in Peekskill, NY) on 7 Oct 1891 in Wellsboro, PA. The couple had 4 children including Geraldine Dickson; William Augustus; Leonard Green; and Marion Lombard SIPPERLY, all born in Wellsboro, PA between 1892 and 1900. I am hoping to locate someone from this family so that the photograph can be returned to its rightful please, with family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

    3. To the person whose email mentions Addison Co.,Vermont: Maybe 4 years ago, I did some reearch in New Haven, Addison Co.,VT. Ilocated the local village-historian there, arranged to have a lengthy app't. with her to glean for info. and to visit a cemetery as well. She was most helpful. If you did not know, in New England, New y York State, and other states--many have a village or town Historian as well as one at the county level. .even though this Van Wert lived in 2 states, he may have been there long enough to leave a 'footprint'. This may be in a local church,in a business or directouy,a tax list, etc. Try on-line to locate an address fora county historical addredd. If there is a more local-historian-, they can point you in the right direction. Your relative may have had friends in VT.-or a school, depending on his age, etc.Did he perhaps ever go back to visit. If so such Social Items in those days were ALWAYS NEWS and published in the local news. Good luck. charlotte J.Sheldon On Mar 2, 2012, at 12:00 AM, [email protected] wrote: Today's Topics: 1. 1. [NYWESTCH] Villa Loretta, Peekskill, NY
    2. From: "Dawkins, Beverly" <[email protected]> Subject: Villa Loretta I went to Villa Loretta in 1962 and graduated in 1965, I have missed that school and the nuns there very much. Mother Theresa was my mentor I really don ’t remember the other sisters, but the School itself left so many memories for me as a young girl (me) age 15 not wanting to be home because of circumstances and with a child about 2years old. I am so grateful for the courts sending me there, I wish sometime that my daughter could have went there as well. what a difference her life would be now for the better. Upon arriving there, I said to myself how could a poor girl, be welcome there, I must be dreaming. For 3 and ½ years it was so educating and life fulfilling. There was a GOD when I needed him. Thanks

Ever since he would not allow the first responders well deserved room at the memorial for 911 he is s.... in my book! Without the brave firefighters and police first esponders, there would have been a lot less survivors. Marianne Dunnell

    3. As did I. For the fat lot of good it will do. As said old-fashioned post mailed letters, or showing up in one's office carries more weight. Of course being able to mobilize the online community, a facebook page, getting the media to talk about it can be much more effective. Or vice versa if not enough momentum is gained. Publicity and lots of it. Bad publicity for the politicians is exactly what they don't want in an Election Year. That speaks louder than paper on someone's desk. $0.02, Brian On Mon, February 27, 2012 9:50 pm, Marita Gladson wrote: > I signed the petition. > On Feb 27, 2012, at 6:44 PM, [email protected] wrote: > >> RE: Mayor BLOOMBERG's proposed legislation (Int. 486-2011), to the New >> York >> City Council, to eliminate independence of NYC Information Services. >> [This >> political football dates back before Mayor Abe BEAME!] >> >> VIEW NYC RECORDS AFFECTED: http://www.nyc.gov/html/records/home.html >> >> I've CC'd NYC APG, Roots' Admins, NEGHS, NYG&B, NY Historical Society, >> Bergen Co., NJ, GGG, IGG, other genealogy/history leaders in the Metro >> NYC area, >> and Dick Eastman the enclosed. >> >> >> >> ========== >> NEW YORK CITY COUNCIL >> 250 Broadway---30th Floor >> New York, New York 10007 >> Speaker: Christine C.
