    2. Looking for two Meara children living with a relative in the 1920s or 1930s. Parents were from Ireland, mother died around 1915, father left children with his sister in law a few years later. He then later drowned in a work related accident. It is presumed the children kept their father's last name.

As my father and mother, Maria Harismides, divorced when I was about 2, I didn't know him very well. I did meet my brothers and sisters from his second marriage to Edie DeSilva, but lost touch with them after shortly after my father's death in June 2000. He and Edie had four sons and two daughters. I have an article about the 9 sons mentioned by Mary Ann DeSilva, explaining their WWII exploits. Five of my siblings were named Dave, Joseph, Steve, Lisa, Maria - I do not remember the 6th brother's name. My grandfather was August. I was born in 1947 in Millwood.
