    1. [NYWESTCH] 1860 & FIELD coroner's jury
    2. Daily National Intelligencer, published in Washington, D.C. February 4 1860 The coroner's jury assembled at Yonkers (N.Y.) to investigate the cause of the death of Mrs. Thomas W. FIELD, who was killed on the 18th ultimo on the Hudson River railroad, have returned a verdict that her death was caused by the wilful neglect of duty on the part of Robert HARTLEY, rear brakeman on the Albany express train, in not carrying the danger signal far enough up the road, as he was ordered by Conductor George N. SIMPSON to do; and they likewise censure the conductor for not seeing his order executed. They also state their opinion that the engineer of the Sing Sing train should have run more cautiously, knowing that the express train was running with an imperfect engine. HARTLEY has been arrested. http://www.newspaperabstracts.com/link.php?action=detail&id=95297

    1. [NYWESTCH] Andrew JOSEPH Sabol
    2. Paul Sabol
    3. While researching Declaration of Intentions for U.S. Citizen of names resembling Andrew Sabol (my g-grandfather) in Yonkers, I came across 3 possible matches.  I requested one of the documents and it came in the other day.  Unfortunately it was for Andrew Joseph Sabol, born Feb 1883, immigrated in 1901 from Budapest, and the document itself was dated 1907. This is not my g-grandfather as I had hoped nor does it look like Andrew Joseph Sabol is even related.  So, if anyone on this board has this Andrew Joseph Sabol of Yonkers in their family tree and would like this document contact me off list and I can mail it to you.  It'll save you $15.00 from ordering it online.  I'm going to move on to the next one on my list and see if it's a possible match.   Regards, Paul G. Sabol
