Hi, eBay item number 370167692126, a letter from North Greenwich written in 1834, looks interesting. Sorry about the ALL CAPS. Here's the seller's description: Terrific early 2 page stampless folded letter written October 12, 1834 by Isaac (Powan, Powers or a very close spelling) in North Greenwich, New York and sent to his "affectionate brother" Noah (same last name) in Geneva, Ontario County, NY. Detailed letter about family health, friend died of lung fever, Jonathan Rideout (think I got the last name) is in state prison, talks of deaths, births, marriages, moving west, farming, growing fruit trees, land in Nashua etc etc.... Full size scans provide for your research benefit. Postmark is a very scarce No. Greenwich, NY manuscript with a manuscript rate mark 18 3/4 cents and a red NOV 4 date mark CDS which was probably the arrival postmark in Geneva. Letter fully intact and in great shape. Excellent early NY postal history find! Bob Stromberg Greenwich, NY
