I am tracking several families - the Berrigans from probably Co. Tipperary - and the Guthries, McDonoughs, and Laydens from Liscannor Parish in Co. Clare. All of the families worked in the Slate Quarries. Today, I learned that Liscannor was famous for its slate, called Liscannor Slate. Anyone else tracking Liscannor families in the Washington County area? (Mine are mostly in Granville NY). Thx Kevin
