Someone else sent me some 1900 census data, which placed the house at 21 Mechanic Street - I looked that up on Google Earth and there is a house now at that address, but I couldn't get any sense of how old it might be. My father was only six years old when his family moved to Norwalk, Connecticut in 1902, so he had no real memory of that location. I appreciate your help and your interest.
