You folks have always been so helpful.someone always seems to come up with the answer I am seeking so I have a couple more questions. 1) If anyone has the book "Death Notices from Washington Co. NY Newspapers 1799-1880" by Mary Smith Jackson and Edward F. Jackson, could you do a lookup for me regarding death of Obadiah Daniels? I believe he died in 1844 (before August) 2) Can anyone tell me what newspapers would have been published then for Granville and where I might be able to locate the archives? Hi, Obadiah Daniels is not listed in the Jacson book on deaths listed in Washington County newspapers. If you do a Google search for old NYS newspapers on micro film, I am sure you find a list and where the films are held.
