    3. I'm interested too.  I've got an Orange DOUGLAS who died in 1833, but isn't in the book.  I sent an email to the Pember library and several other libraries.  Only the Pember replied and that was that he wasn't in their book, and that maybe Rutland county, VT might have him since he was born there.  Which I'm having no luck in getting responses from, lol   Julie in CA --- On Mon, 9/7/09, eileen bernier <geniebug523@cebridge.net> wrote: From: eileen bernier <geniebug523@cebridge.net> Subject: [NYWASHIN] Lookup request To: "Rose -" <nywashin@rootsweb.com> Date: Monday, September 7, 2009, 9:20 AM You folks have always been so helpful.someone always seems to come up with the answer I am seeking so I have a couple more questions. 1) If anyone has the book "Death Notices from Washington Co. NY Newspapers 1799-1880" by Mary Smith Jackson and Edward F. Jackson, could you do a lookup for me regarding death of Obadiah Daniels?  I believe he died in 1844 (before August) 2) Can anyone tell me what newspapers would have been published then for Granville and where I might be able to locate the archives? Thanks so much for any help.  Eileen

    3. The Washington County Historian's office is very helpful; Dennis Lowery is the historian. You need to send a check for $15.00 along with your request and they look through their records to send you a reply.
