Mrs. Wesley Chandler and children ad Mrs. Ray Brown visited Mrs. Chandler's husband at the Cambridge's hospital Sunday. Mrs. Herbert Allen of Pawlet spent the week-end with her sister, Mrs. Fred Warren. Mr. and Mrs. james Fenton and Miss Carrie Boutwell spent Sunday with their parent in South Ackworth, New Hampshire. Mr. and Mrs. James McIntyre, Mr. and Mrs. John Gleason, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gleason,Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Flydn (sic), Howard Sherman and Joseph Trudeau of Rutland spent Sunday at R.E. Warren's. Harry Meade who is employed at the Edmund's slate quarry was quite badly injured one day last week when walking on the edge of the pit, the dirt loosened by the excessive rains gave way letting him fall some distance into the pit. Mr. Meade suffered four broken ribs, broken shoulder blade and many cuts and bruises. Dr. O. P. Clough was summoned and he was removed to the Seward hospital in Poultney where he is slowly improving. The Daily Brothers are improving the appearance of their residence with a coat of paint. Mrs. Hattie Hutchins who has been visiting her son, Frank and family, returned to her home in Middletown Springs Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. William Sabourin of Albany spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Roswell G. Warren. Mr. and Mrs. George Graham and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Euell of Schuylerville spent Sunday at Wm. R. Jones'.
