    3. This is in regards to the findings of old cemeteries on private property. One person said "Usueally" people will respect the stones that are there and leave them alone. I'm glad they said "usually" because there was recently a court case in Vermont where a person purchased some ten acres of land. There was an old cemetery on the property and he wanted to dig it up and move the people there to another location. VOCA (Vermont Old Cemetery Association) stepped in to prevent it. It ended up in court. The man's reasoning was that he didn't want his children playing there. But the courts ruled againist VOCA and the owner is going to be permitted to disenter the bodies. If I remember correctlly, at least one of the graves was that of a Revolutionary War soldier. Eileen
