Source, Ticonderoga Sentinel--Thur. Oct. 17, 1907. KILLED WHILE RIDING HORSEBACK. Mrs. Mattie V. Fowler of Cambridge, Washington county, was killed last week while horseback riding. She lost control of her horse and the animal bolted up the road. After going a mile or more Mrs. Fowler either tried to throw herself from the horse of fainted and fell, the horse's hoof striking her just back of the ear and crashing her skull.
