    2. Source, The Poultney Journal--Fri. May 22, 1931. HAMPTON, N.Y. William Loney of Chicago,Ill., was a week-end guest at the home of E. J. Marcy. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gleason and son, John, of Rutland sent Sunday in town. A. McCuen, who has been visiting in Fair Haven and Castleton, has returned home. A son was born on May 20th to Mr. and Mrs. Damon Colvin at the Seward Hospital in Poultney. Mrs. Colvin was formerly Miss Beatrice Warren of this place. S. Coone, who has been at the Rutland hospital for observation, returned home Sunday. The Ladies' Aid of the M.E. church will serve a dinner in the church vestry Friday, May 22. Griffith Jones, who has been confined to his bed for nearly a month, is able to sit up a little each day. Mrs. George Wells of East Poultney is helping to care for Mrs. L. C. Woodard. The funeral of Harry Plumley was held in the M.E. church Saturday afternoon. Rev. H. L. Snow officiated. Two selections were rendered by the Junior choir. Transcribed by, Joan H. Bixby
