    3. Hi, Rich, Do you have in your White Creek material, any references to the Thomas Reed family? In the 1855 State Census, the family consisted of: Thomas Reed- age 66 -Farmer Catherine S Reed -age 55 Thomas Reed- age 33- Simon Reed- age 19 Catherine Reed- age 28 Three boarders -John, John, and Patrick (no last names listed) All of these people were born in Ireland, and with the exception of Thomas (age 33) and the boarders, said they had been in town for one year. Young Thomas is listed as being in town 5 years. By 1860, Thomas, Sr. is gone. We can find no record of his death or burial. Thomas, Jr. and family are in Jackson, along with Catherine, Sr. Family name is spelled REID. 1865 finds the family in Cambridge, with Catherine Reed, wife, listed as the mother of 8 children, although only 6 are listed. Some where between 1855, and 1865, there were two other children who were born, died, and were buried. No records seem to be around. Family name is spelled REED. 1870 has them back in WC, under REID. By 1875, they were in Cohoes, and stayed there. Thomas and Catherine bought and sold land at a great rate in Washington County. I have most, if not all, of the deeds. If you have anything on this family, I'd appreciate knowing about it. I'm particularly interested in the deaths of THOMAS, Sr., and the two missing children.
