I know of four cemeteries in Hampton. Hampton Hill ( which has many Revolutionary era soldiers and their families ) is closed to new burials . Hooker Cemetery is a wonderful and very old country cemetery on route 22 and is also closed to new burials . I discovered an old and very small family cemetery belonging to Obadiah Webster and his wife, Elizabeth Keeney. The Webster family and the Keeneys came from Connecticut and they descended from John Webster who, reportedly, was Governor of Connecticut. There is a published book on this early family ( originally from England ) The fourth cemetery is in the Hampton Flats and the only family I am aware of is Wilson and Gould.
