I checked the 1880 that you mentioned and noticed that Elin was listed there as born in Vt and is the right age for Nellie, Owen b. NY and the right age, Willie could be the William although one has b. VT and one has born NY. Noticed also that all her boarders in 1880 were slateworkers.
