POULTNEY, Vt.,July 3--Miss Lydia James, 82, of Granville, N.Y.,died today at the home of her niece,Mrs. Sidney Morris of Greenwood, Mass, with whom she had made her home for the past five years. She was the daughter of William W. and Helen (Griffith ) James. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Ella Cross of Saranac, N.Y., and nieces. The funeral will be held at the Roberts Funeral Home here Thursday at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be in Mettowee Cemetery in Granville, N.Y. Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m.
