No bills were found against John Jones, Mabel Brooks, Paul Phillips, Fannie Gibbons and John Donahue, and they were discharged. The out come of the action brought against Mr. Donahue will prove of interest. Mr. Donahue, who had been a member of the election board of the town of Hampton (NY) twenty-three years, went more than a year ago to the home of his son in Poultney (VT), where he continued to reside although he reserved one room of his house in Hampton. The residence being occupied by Andrew Kenyon. Mr. Donahue last fall took up his work as inspector on the board and during the first morning was arrested and charged with illegal voting. A hearing was held before Judge Richards of Hudson Falls and the man held to await the action of the grand jury. Attorney W. E. Young appearing for Mr. Donahue asked for a writ of habeas corpus before Judge Paris, which was denied.
