Henry and child of Albany, are visiting at the home of her cousin, H. L. Raymond. F.L. Baker, who resided near the Stevens sawmill, has been seriously ill, but is now convalescing. Mrs. P. E. Williams of Glens Falls, is spending several weeks with her daughter, Mrs. John Pember. Mr. and Mrs. John Whittemore of Hudson Falls, were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Pember. Miss Lucille Williams of the nurses training school at the Albany City hospital is home on vacation. Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Mason are passing a few days at their farm. Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Thompson are their guests. Mrs. David Walsh of St.Johnsville, is passing a few weeks at the home of her parents, Officer and Mrs. James Walsh. Mrs. T. G. Stanton and daughter, Anna, are with friends in Saratoga,where they went to attend the pageant. Mrs. L. Carr and granddaughter, Miss Beth Pember were guests Wednesday of Mrs. John Leggett of Poultney. Miss Lottie Lindsay, who was with her sister, Mrs. Arthur Austin through the spring, is now at her brother's in Fort Ann. P. W. Hewitt and nephew W. S. Hewitt attended the funeral of their cousin, G. Palmer Cook, in Fort Edward Tuesday. Thomas F. Jones and wife of New York city, are spending a two weeks' vacation at the home of his brother, John A. Jones. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Roblee of St. Louis, are expected here soon, and will make their home while here at John Gormley's. Chief of Police James Walsh has gone to Boston to spend his vacation, being joined there by his son, David Walsh of St. Johnsville. E. A. Nellis and family of Wilmington, Vt., and Mrs. Ada Williams-Brumley of Amsterdam, are visiting at the home of E. R. Evans and other relatives in town. Rev. M. J. Winchester and daughter of Fredonia, N. Y., passed through Granville Tuesday , calling on friends and relatives. He is making the trip in his automobile. W. T. Barnard and family are visiting their brother, C. H. Barnard and family at Schenectady. Louise Barnard, who has been visiting here, accompanied them home. Mrs. B. H. Kingsley and daughters,Etta Florence and Melba Alice are visiting in Maine, spending last week at Canton Point and Bethel. They are now at New Vineyard, Me. Mrs. J. Ward Smith of Newark, N. J., with her son William and family of Vernon, N. J., paid a brief visit here last week , en route, via auto,for the White Mountains. Mrs. Smith makes annual trips to this , her home town. Mrs. James Colligan of Elmira, is the guest of her aunt, Mrs. J. P. McDonough of the American house,Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. McDonough and guest enjoyed an automobile trip to Glens Falls, Lake George and Saratoga.
