Mrs Mary Hanna is at Leslie Beecher's for a short time. Miss Emily Thomas is visiting friends in Schenectady. B. E. Curtis and family are visiting friends in North Adams. Richard Owens of Salem, spent Sunday with friends here. John Reil and family are taking an auto trip to Holkoke, Mass. Florence and Alice McHenry have returned from Hudson Falls. Mrs. Agnes Roberts of Rutland is the guest of Mrs. John A.Williams. Miss Ethel Williams is visiting friends in Albany and New York city. William Sherman, the milkman, is improving his property by a fresh coat of paint. F. G. Hall and family, accompanied by F. M. Jay, motored to Lake George Sunday. Edward Wilson and family have moved to West Pawlet, where he has a position. The condition of Roy Williams and little son, who have been quite seriously ill, is much improved. Miss Mary E. Williams has gone to Milwaukee, Wis., where she will be the guest of Rev. Henry K. Jones and family. Mrs. George Downing and little daughter of Garden City, L.I., are visiting her brother and sisters in this village. F. B. Ault of Lowell, Ind., has been spending a week in town, making needed repairs to his property, the old A. N. Rogers house. Mrs. Adelia Dougan and daughter, Miss Alice, have gone to Lafayette , Ind., where Miss Dougan has a fine position in the public library of that city. The ladies of the Presbyterian Auxiliary society have adopted the talent plan for raising money. Some whose talents run in culinary lines are selling the good things they make , such as cake, pie, bread, rolls, biscuit, etc. Others are making dainty fancy work; others wearing apparel. All are busy.
