I saw the KIBBE surname in your Roll Call post. Do you have a Julia (possibly aka Fannie) KIBBE that married Talcott Pierce COLBURN ca. 1852? Talcott was living in Camden, Oneida County, NY in 1850. Would like to find parents of John Ketchum b. ca. 1800 and Henry Ketchum b.ca. 1805. Don't know if they were brothers, but they married sisters, daughters of Alexander McMullen (1773-1852) of Argyle. John & Amanda had Milo b. ca. 1830, David b. ca. 1835 and Andrew b. ca. 1837. Henry & Mary had Abbie b. ca. 1847. Interested in any other descendants. Liz Garrity

Hudson Falls and Kingsbury have lots of Jakways. They were/are farmers and many are still living in the area. One is a prison guard at Great Meadow Correctional Facility. I am researching the Webster surname in Ft. Ann, and the Wright surname, possibly in Cambridge. Barbara in Georgia
I'm researching the following families in Washington Co. The names in parentheses are, to the best of my knowledge, the first in their line to live in Washington County. - HALL (Henry Merchant Hall 1787-1868 - born in Rhode Island, lived in Arlington, VT by 1810 and from about 1832-on lived in various Washington Co. towns including Ft. Edward, Easton & Greenwich) - WILBOR (Nicanor Wilbor 1744-late 1790s - abt. 1782 migrated from Dartmouth, MA to Cambridge, NY) - SHERMAN (Meribah Sherman, 1746-1842, wife of Nicanor Wilbor; born in Dartmouth, MA; reportedly married second a Phillip ESTY / ESTES / ESTEE but I have not yet found proof of this) - BITELY (John Bitely Abt 1729-1820 lived outside Ft. Edward just across the Hudson River in Saratoga Co. but his son, Jacob Bitely 1765-1853 lived on the Washington Co. side of the river) - THORNTON (Charles B. Thornton 1835-1919 from about 1860-on lived in Kingsbury) - TRIPP (Dr. Gardner Dayton Tripp and his first wife, Permelia BAKER Tripp lived in Kingsbury toward the end of their lives - 1870s-1880s - and are buried there) I have gathered a little information on some peripheral lines as well including: FOWLER, LOVEJOY, LAKE, LANGWORTHY, RICE, BRADT, BELL, CURTIS, SLOCUM, PIKE. I am also interested in Dr. Zina HITCHCOCK who died in 1832 in Ft. Edward. I've always wondered why my gggg-grandfather, Dr. Jared Hitchcock (1777-1846) would move from the Brimfield/Palmer, MA area to Moreau/Glens Falls during the middle of his career - and considered perhaps he was somehow connected to Zina. Researching the following dead-ends in Fort Ann and Whitehall: PALMER, Lovinus (9.10.1794 - 10.5.1865, married to Olive KINGSLEY, buried in Kinner Cemetery, Town of Whitehall) and descendants. JOHNSON, Orville (about 1812 - 8.7.1879, married to Sally CAMPBELL, buried in Brown Cemetery, West Fort Ann). CAMPBELL, James (about 1791 - 12.25.1866, married to Eunice OSGOOD). MILLARD, Nelms CHAMBERLAIN, Phoebe (married to Julius PLUE) WILSON, John (2.18.1760 - before 1810 in Whitehall, married to Abagail LEONARD) PLUE, Peter (married to Laura Ann) RIPLEY, John Thomas Palmer [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) If researching in Whitehall and Fort Ann, take a gander at: _www.towpathtowns.homestead.com_ (http://www.towpathtowns.homestead.com)
In and around FORT ANN and WHITEHALL: WILLIAM GRAY, 1730-1787, father of ESTHER GRAY BROWN, born circa 1760, married GEORGE BROWN Their son, GEORGE BLAKE BROWN, married EMMARILLA JONES Their daughter, Esther Julia BROWN married John Jacob JONES Their son, Robert Earle JONES, was born in 1891. He married Frances Grace ANDERSON, born in 1895. Their son was my father Robert Eugene JONES, born 11/09/1915. Vickie RABOURN (nee JONES)
I am researching JOSEPH W. GAMEL (Gamble), who married Isabell Gillis, they had 5 children: (Ann Elon-1814; James-1816; Archibald-1818; Catherine-1820; George-1822) . He was in Argyle Towship in the 1820 and 1830 census. When Isabell died in 1833 he moved to Cayuga County, Genoa Township, New York where he is listed in the 1840 and 1850 census. In 1860 he was living with his son Archibald in Rio Township, Knox County, Illinois, Joseph died in Illinois, in 1863. I have not been able to document who his parents are, a family bible shows he was born in 1792 but not where, the informtion in the bible begins with him. I believe that he is more than likely of Irish descent, but have not been able to prove it.

I seek help from anyone with suggestions for places to trace Seth Hunt from the time of his residency in Whitehall about 1830 and prior to that (I've got it from then to 2005.) I believe he was born in MA and lived briefly in Fort ANN, NY prior to Whitehall as some of his children were born there. Seth's wife appears to have been born in Bolton. Does anyone know if early 1800's records are available somewhere for Bolton, and if so where? Thanks.
I would like to have some more information on this family. All I have in my collection of "Families of the Old Cambridge District," is a David FULTON witnessed the will of John McCOOL, in 1798. If that is your same David there might be family connection to the McCOOLs. Of course he could have just been a neighbor, but often times there was a family connection. If you would like to share any details, dates, locations, etc. I would be very happy to add them to this collection of about 30,000 Family Group Sheets that I intend to publish some day. Hi Wendy, I would like to get any information that you would be willing to share on this family. I have a few records on this Simeon, but I have his wife as Betsey (OLIN) (1818-1888) which looks like she would be his second wife? I show that his parents were Simeon and Deborah (HYDE) SWEET. I collect data on virtually ALL of the early families that ever lived in the Old Cambridge District, which includes the now towns of Cambridge, Jackson and White Creek.
