I did not see the name Ruggles. I would like to know more about Capt. Edm. Moore's, Capt. Johnson Moulton and Col. Jonathan Bagly have you heard of these names? My interest is in the Colonial Wars in which Carillion was successfully defended by Montcalm when attacked by Abercrombie. Amhurst then attacked at a later date and captured the Fort and renamed it Ticonderoga. Brig Gen Timothy RUGGLES was involved in the Colonial Wars (French and Indian War) and fought under Sir Wm Johnson, Abercrombie and finally Amhurst. I do not have the literature to help you for the period that you are seeking (Rev War). You do know about the cannon being taken from the Fort to Boston on sledges in the winter?? by the Continentals There is a Ft Ticonderoga Hist Society and they have a brief site linked to NY , I forget the link but try surfing around a bit. I think I remember it as listing the address for the Ft Ti Hist Soc. I will post this response to the MAME, NY-MILITARY, NY-WARREN lists to see if anyone responds for you.
