    3. Searching for members of the family of Charles and Minnie Martin, I found two obituaries and decided to post the other obituaries on the pages. All are from the Glens Falls Post Star. Those I was after were the obits for Minnie Martin, who died in 1955, and her son Minor, who died in 1941. Nancy Johnsen Curran in Schenectady Glens Falls Post Star obituaries Dec 18 1941 Charles W. Patten Charles W. Patten, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Patten, and former resident of this city, died Monday night in Buffalo. He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Bert LaPoint, Sr., Union, N.J., Mrs. Wilson Parker, East Greenbush, Mrs. Clara Crawford, 2 May Street, this city, Mrs. George Milliman, Schenectady; three brothers, Edward Patten, Schenectady, Kendrick and David Patten, Saratoga Springs. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:30 P.M. at the home of David B. Patten, Saratoga Springs-Glens Falls Road. Interment will be in Glens Falls Cemetery. The Rev. Floyd R. Bragg, pastor of the Gospel Tabernacle, will officiate. H. Minor Martin H. Minor Martin, 35, of 19 William Street, died Tuesday at 9:30 P.M. at his home. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Minnie Martin; three sisters, Miss Emma Martin of Glens Falls, Mrs. L.P. Ives of Oneonta and Mrs. Elroy Selleck of Glens Falls; and eight brothers, Albert, Herbert W., Fred, Chester E., and Frank of Glens Falls, Daniel of Granville and Otis and Mason of Saratoga Springs. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at the late home. The Rev. W. Gordon Poole, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Morningside Cemetery, Hartford. Swam, 12 John Street, who died Tuesday at 8 A.M. at the Akins Nursing Home, West Glens Falls, will be conduced this afternoon at the Carlton Funeral Home, Hudson Falls. Randall, Main Street, has received word of the death on Dec. 2, in Zion City, Ill., of her cousin, Mrs. Estella Heath, former resident here and daughters of the late Chauncey Kingsley of this village. Funeral services were conducted Dec. 4 at Congdon Chapel with Elder A.A. Wright officiating. Interment was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Zion City.. Other survivors are a brother, Cassius Kingsley, of Zion City, and a niece, Mrs. Edward Carleton of this village. Mrs. Anna Kravec GRANVILLE - Mrs. Anna Kravec, 49, died Tuesday at her home on the South Poultney Road. She is survived by her husband, George Kravec; five daughters, Mrs. Joseph Slotiker of Albany, and the Misses Anna, Helen, Susan and Julia Kravec, all of Granville. Reuben P. Baldwin LAKE GEORGE - Reuben P. Baldwin, 50, a former resident of Lake George, died Tuesday at his home in Durban, Mich. He is survived by his wife, Mildred; a son, Robert; two daughters, Angela and Doris; a step-son, William Adams; and a grandson, Robert Baldwin, all of Durban; a brother, Edgar A. Baldwin of Bolton Landing; and three sisters, Mrs. J.L. Mulholland of Hempstead, L.I., Mrs. J.L. Tripp of Lake George and Mrs. H. Arthur Braydon of Glens Falls. Mrs. Stella A. Germain THURMAN - Mrs. Stella A. Germain, 61, died last Tuesday night at her home here after a long illness. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Estella Akins Davignon; two sons, Ethan Davignon and Bernard W. Davignon, West Glens Falls; a grandson, Gary Davignon; two sisters, Mrs. George Lavery of Bridgeport, Conn., and Mrs. Arthur Duell of West Glens Falls; three brothers, Clifford, Frank and Kenneth Davignon, all of Glens Falls, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. and Mrs. Davignon celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last Oct. 13. Alex Halpin Alex Halpin, 53, formerly of Glens Falls, died Friday at his home in Albany. He was 53. Mr. Halpin, who retired from the grocery business to enter the real estate field, was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Halpin. He is survived by a daughter, Maxine, and a son, Lawrence, both of Albany; and a sister, Mrs. Betty Robbins of Elmira. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at the Harrison-Levine Memorial Chapel at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Nathan Nachtygal. Ritualistic services were also conducted by members of Washington Lodge 85, F. and A.M., of which Mr. Halpin was a member. Surviving are three sons, Herbert Martin, Hudson Falls; Fred and Frank Martin, Glens Falls; three stepsons, Daniel Martin, Hartford; Otis J. and Mason Martin, Saratoga Springs; two daughters, Mrs. Emma Luckau, Glens Falls, and Mrs. Leonard Ives, Rochester; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Elroy Selleck, Glens Falls; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Emma Miner, Hartford, and Mrs. Arthur Gilman, Glens Falls, and several nieces and nephews.
