Hello Warren County, I am new to the list. I am researching Seneca Sheldon b. 1789 Duchess County, New York, drowned in Lake George in 1822 m. Maria Peck d. 1847(?) Queensbury. Seneca owned a parcel of land called Sheldon Pt.(later Rockhurst) on the Southeast corner of the Lake. He had the following children (unconfirmed at this time):Ebna m. Stephen Aylesworth Lived Schoharie NY; Allen Lived Lake George NY; Horace Lived Oneida NY;Emeline b. 1814 m. John Benedict Lived Schenectady NY;Tallmage;Julia Ann and Marietta m. Ira Slocum. Marietta (Sheldon) Slocum is my 2nd G-grandmother she was born @ Sheldon Point abt. 1818-1820. I am trying to prove that Marietta is the daughter of Seneca. All I have is strong circumstantial evidence. Help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, John Eastman
