Greetings, I am researching the above family name. George FITZSIM[M]ONS was born in Co. Cavan, Ireland in about 1828, and lived in Warren Co., NY by 1860. His wife was Rosanna or Elizabeth McMULLAN, and they had children Henry (b.1849), Charles (b.1852), Edward (b.1854), George (b.1856), Nellie (b.1860), and Maggie (b.1862). In the 1880 U.S. census they lived in Warrensburgh, but I have no further info on them after that time. George was not my ancestor, but his brother Thomas and their father Thomas, both of whom lived in Minerva, Essex Co., were my great- and great-great grandfathers. I would like to trace the George FITZSIM[M]ONS family to help in the research of my own line. Please contact me if you have any knowledge of this family.
