Hi: Yes, the two sites are different. Each though allows you, the researcher, to do data entry on any genealogical information you may have (ie queries, biographies, wills, births, deaths, etc). Gen Exchange relys more on the individual sharing info that they may have while the UsGenWeb site shares information that I post and individuals share. Each is a great site and both offer pros and cons. That is why I included a link, when asked, to allow everyone to get a full range of tools.
