They had two girls, Jane (January 23, 1832) and Rhoda (January 20, 1834). Jane's obituary lists her birthplace as Luzerne. By 1835 the family had relocated to Cattaraugus County.

    3. Laura, I checked what records I have available and could not find your Grace Mix. Have you tried to get her death certificate. If everything on it was originally filled out, it should answer all your questions. I can't remember now if New York has a 50 year or 75 year waiting period on death certificates. Lois

    3. That was congestive heart failure. It is a short version of hydropsey. I found that on a list of historic medical terminology on-line. But I did not bookmark it. My g-g-grandmother, Cordelia (Palmer) Wood, (who lived in Bolton Warren County) was said to have died from a case of "dropsy". I guess she had to have her legs up on a quilt, and the quilt got soaked with fluid. Her legs were "like logs" my Grandmother was told. does anyone know what this could have possibly been? Heather

    3. Part of the 1850 Census for Warren County is online 1850 NY_Warren Census . The Warren County GenWeb page also has a search engine that is very helpful Index . My 1850 Census Index on CD says there is a Henry Palmer in Warrensburg, page 108. I also have a transcribed 1850 Census.
