I have copies of Abraham & Sarah's death certificates from Esopus, & both show David & Elizabeth as their parents. The only David Polhemus I can locate in the right time & place is the son of Jordan Polhemus & Lidia Deyo, who was born in New Paltz in 1782. Have not been able to locate any marriage record, baptisms for any children, deaths, or burials. I believe that they may have attended Meeting (Society of Friends), but never actually joined. Abraham married Maryetta Horton, daughter of David Horton & Deborah Waters. The Horton's had the "Quaker House" on Old Post Road in Esopus. (Abram & Maryetta's children were not baptised, either, except for their youngest son who was baptised as an adult.) I have quite a bit of research done on the Relyea family.
