Hi Floreda, I read your posting with interest because I have some roots in Port Jervis, too. While my great-grandfather lived and died in Port Jervis, he was originally from Sussex Co., NJ, which is literally just over the Delaware River from the Laurel Grove Cemetery that you visited. Are you looking for more information on your ancestor's death or trying to find out where he was born, etc.? Perhaps he was born in either NJ or PA since both are so close to Port Jervis. I know that Sussex Co., NJ has an active mailing list through Rootsweb with lots of knowledgeable people participating on it so you might want to give it a try.
