    2. >From the newspaper "The Evening Gazette" Port Jervis, November 19, 1878 this article: Mr. Edward Quick, who was injured by falling from a hand car on the Honesdale Branch last week Tuesday, an account of which accident and he subsequent condition oof the unfortunate man was first published in the Gazette, died from the effects of his injuries Sunday Morning, aged 37 years. The deceased leaves a wife and one child. Mr. Quick was a carpenter by trade and had resided int his village several years. The funeral took place from the M. E. Church Monday afternoon. The remains were deposited in Laurel Grove Cemetery. End of article We visited the Historical Society library in Port Jervis in 1995 and found this burial information: Laurel Grove Cemetery, Burial # 1855, Nov 25, 1878, Edward Quick, born Ulster County, died i Port Jervis, age 31, killed E.R.R., buried single grave, Section L, # 25, Cauley & Terwiliger We visited the cemetery - there was no headstone.
