I have just made a wonderful connection that took my STAGE line back several generations (3 generations listed below). It appears possible/probable that my "Davit STAGE" (as it appeared on the marriage record in Wawarsing, NY) could have been David STAGG, son of Cornelis STAGG and Margrietje BANTA of Bergen, N.J. Since all of this is quite new to me, I've started surfing the web trying to locate clues and direction for a further search. Would appreciate any suggestions of sources I might research to either confirm or eliminate this possible connection? Any suggestions for directions or links for further research would be very much appreciated.
