Hi Ulster List-- Here's a variation of a question I've not seen asked before: My grandfather, Fred H. Hough, lived in the Town of Marbletown, Ulster Co., (Kripplebush, actually) from the early 1930s until his death in 1947, at age 69. He had gone almost completely blind by the time he moved there and received what my dad calls a "blind pension". It was $16 per month and it was disbursed monthly. My dad thinks it was generated from either Ulster County or the Town of Marbletown. What I am looking for is some type of application or recordkeeping that would have my grandfather's full name, hopefully including a middle name, on it; we are trying to determine if his middle name was "Hunt" or some other name. (I have his death record and it has only a middle initial, not a middle name.) Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I'll be up in the Ulster Co. area at the end of the summer but I wanted to get a head start on this one, if possible! I appreciate you taking the time to read this-- Regards to you from a hot and dry Austin, TX, Marilyn Hough Stern
