I've been subscribing for several weeks without posting a message and have decided it's time to dive in. My ggggrandfather, John H. Snyder was b. 1793 in Marbletown, Ulster Co., NY. He married in 1823 to Anna Maria (surname unknown) b. 1801 in Hurley, Ulster Co., NY. There were 10 births from 1826 to 1842, according to a family bible, but all were Sullivan Co., NY. I understand that it's possible they stayed where they were but the county changed. Where would I look for their marriage record and then, when I find out Anna Maria's surname, their birth records? Only four children survived to adulthood, but I have all their names and dates and place of death from family bible entries. This does not mention where they are buried nor does it say where the parents died, only when. Would appreciate a shove in the right direction.
