Pat Rice Cooper- In the 1850 census, my Serepta Rice was a child at home with father- James, mother- Eliza, and brother- Isaac in Granby of Oswego Co, NY. In the 1855 NY census, James and Eliza were still in Granby with Serepta C., Isaac M., Synthia A.(census' spelling), and Charles A. James doesn't show a birth county, but Eliza, Serepta, and Isaac show Herkimer Co, Synthia shows Cayuga (I think), and Charles shows Onondaga. These are the only sibs I show, and I have no further record of James and Eliza. By the 1870 census, Serepta and husband, Henry B. James are in Hannibal, Oswego Co.,NY with children Carrie (my grandmother) b. Cayuga Co, Stella and Frank both b. Oswego co. This family then went to Kansas. I don't have anything on Isaac, Synthia or Charles. Perhaps someone with knowledge of them can help me to trace James and Eliza.
