Gary, Today I went to the Town Clerks's office for you only to find that you had been in contact with her last week and that she had spent a great deal of time searching for your ancestors who were probably part of the resevoir workforce and the child's birth was not registered. I understand that she searched through all the L's and the entire year of 1911 with no success. She explained to you that unregistered births and late registrations were common in that era, especially with migrant workers. You were fortunate indeed to find a town clerk so willing to help you out but your duplicate request to the two of us has left us both feeling rather used. If you had told me up front that the town clerk had no registration of this birth, I could have checked other available resources. You may want to have the NYS Dept of Health do a general search, and if the parents were from NYC, have a search done there. Sincerely, Ginny Byron ----- Original Message ----- From: GARY L.
