Peter ACKERMAN b 25 Aug 1806 d. 20 Aug 1856, aged 50 years. He m. 3 Jul 1830 Mary Ann BROOKS, b. 17 Jan 1810. The Original Bruynswick Church is a beautiful one in excellent condition. It is about 10 miles from Pine Bush and about the same distance from Walkill, Ulster Co. I think that Peter ACKERMAN came from New Jersey and near Paramus and that he was related to a descendant of the Rev. John Mauritius Goetschius, pastor of the Paramus Church and Paramus Church records say he was sent to the wilds of Ulster County, and he was a pastor of the Bruynswick church for years and is buried in the churchyard there.
