I'm trying to track place the William Drake who md. Eunice Helme. He may have been the same Wm Drake who was listed in Catskill, Albany, NY in the 1790 census and may have been son of William and Abigail (__) Drake of Goshen, Orange, NY. NY James Drake, born 1 Oct. 1755, Orange Co, New York Esther Drake, born 13 April 1758, Orange Co., New York David Grossett Drake, born 1 December 1759, Orange Co. NY William Drake, born 9 June 1763, Orange Co. NY Burgess Drake, born 8 August 1769 Phoebe Drake, born 15 January 1772 Jesse Drake, born 19 July 1775 I would appreciate hearing from anyone who's familiar with this family or with Drakes more generally. I'd be especially interested in hearing from anyone who might help me connect the William, b. 9 June 1763, with the William Drake who md. Eunice Helme/Holmes and is mentioned in the 12-21-1798 will of his mother-in-law, Mary (Williams) Helme of Amenia, Dutchess, NY at the time of her will. The Helme ancestry is well documented, but Ruthe White (of CA) and I have been trying to piece together the Drake side.
