I am at a standstill with my Goldsmith family. Any advise or information you could share would be gratefully appreciated. I know very little about her early years, but believe she was married in Ulster, lived there, then Chemung, then to Cayuga then on to Ohio where they were in Richland co. and finally settled in Delaware Co., OH. There was a Jeremiah Goldsmith in Ulster Co. for a time and have tried to work on that angle as her father, but have really not come up with anything. I was only basing my assumption on the fact that Lydia's youngest son was Jeremiah. She married CHARLES DEWITT, son of WILLIAM DEWITT and SUSANNAH CHAMBERS. He was born 11 August 1769 in Ulster Co., New York, and died 10 February 1854 in Berlin Twp., Delaware Co., OH.
