Hello everyone, I am Barbara from Fleetwood, Lancashire, England, and I am a new subscriber.I need your help to find any living descendants of my Gt. Grandmother's family. They were JOHN and MARY BURKE nee CARROLL married in the village of Knockainey, Co. Limerick, Rep. of Ireland in 1861. They had three children in Knockainey, THOMAS b 1862, MARY b 1864 & JOHN b 1865. They then emigrated to 56 VANNESS STREET, NEWBURGH, ORANGE COUNTY, NEW YORK and had a further three children, LIZZIE, SARAH & MICHAEL.Thomas became a shoemaker and I think that Michael and John Jn. joined the United States army.The mother Mary moved to an address on Broadway, Newburgh, early in the 1900s. I then lost track of them. I would dearly love to be able to get in touch with any living descendants of this family but after four years of searching, I am still looking.Any help you can give me would be most gratefully received.With my thanks and regards to all.Barbara.
