Have just put my ggrandfather in Otisville,NY (I think) in 1874. It pays to go through the family Bible page by page. Found an IOU from one J. K. Baxter in the amount of $ 55. He was to repay my ggrandfather within 60 days. Did NY do a mid decade census in 1875? That would be Orange Co. wouldn't it? Barbara
