I hope that someone can help me. In Orange County, Town of Warwick, Philip McCONNELL'S will was probated - Liber F, page 218, 9 May 1818. Those named in his will are sons John Peter (?) (or John and another son, Peter?), Charles, Asa, Aaron and daughters, Keziah, Elizabeth, wife of William CRABTREE, Mary, wife of Mr. McCONNELL, Susan, wife of Benjamin BENNETT and Sarah, deceased wife of a McMURTRY. I am descended from a William CRABTREE (b. about 1784 in Orange County, NY; d. 15 November 1858 in Sussex County, NJ) and wife, Elizabeth ? who was born about 1788 in Orange Co., NY and died in Sussex County, NJ, 22 May 1869. Is this Elizabeth the daughter of Philip McCONNELL? I hope that someone can help me. Does anyone know who the wife of Philip McCONNELL was? His date of birth and marriage? He apparently deid May 1818 in Warwick, Orange, NY. His parentage? I have noticed a Hugh McCONNELL's name mentioned a good many times in Orange County, NY records. Would he be a brother to Philip McCONNELL? Philip McCONNELL was a witness to will of John BLOOM, Warwick, Liber C, p. 311. Asa McCONNELL in 1805 was a witness to the will of George Bucanan, Warwick, Liber C, page 355. Is this Asa, the son of Philip above mentioned? William CRABTREE and wife, Elizabeth (McCONNELL?) had 9 children: John CRABTREE who married Elizabeth GIVEANS, Margaret CRABTREE who married John PUDER; Harriet CRABTREE (Hamit, in her father's will) who married Charles GUNN, Julia CRABTREE who married Jacob DUNNING, Hannah CRABTREE who married Charles ARVIS, Maria (Maud) CRABTREE who married Evi S. TOMPKINS, Jane CRABTREE who married a KAIN - Alexander KAIN?, William CRABTREE, Jr. who married Martha ? and James CRABTREE who married ? I will greatly appreciate any help that anyone can offer.
