Hi everyone. Still looking for a death certificate/date anything for our gretagrandfatehr James W. Lockwood. James was born in Ulster County in 1869 to Wilbur Lockwood and Elizabeth Rules. He was most likely named for Wilburs brother James W. who die din the civil war. In 1900 he is living in Delhi with wife Nellie and children. (Chester, Eva, James W., Sadie J., and Sidney) By 1920 his wife Nellie is listed as a widow and living witht heir youngest child Nellie in Broome County (Town of Sanford). I have searched NY up and down..at least 2x and no success. I am going to recheck with Pennsylvania as this family lived in Wayne County and Susquehanna County for awhile. James was a stone quarryman who lost sight in one eye after an injury. Does he sound familiar to anyone out there? Thanks!! Michele R.
